HP Envy 17 - Metallic and well-specced

Hewllet Packard has recently announced the HP Slate 2 Tablet PC in order to provide additional flexibility to mobile business users. The company also released a new notebook meant to cater its business, education and government segment clients.

Slate 2 is being touted as the best solution for business and vertical areas like education, healthcare, government and retail, where mobility is very important to keep up with the productivity of the workforce. With a full-featured Microsoft Windows, the 1.5 ounces heavy HP Slate 2 Tablet PC provides a complete ease to the professionals in creating, editing and reviewing content through a highly mobile and lightweight device. As per the company spokesperson, their new tablet includes a perfect blend of rich specs, customized apps, security and connectivity required for most of the mobile chores today.

To keep up the beauty of the device, HP Slate 2 houses an 8.9-inch diagonal capacitive multi-touch display with pen input support plus a new Swype keyboard. The Swype applet extends the touch experience with comfortable and efficient texting or emailing. Inside, the device is equipped with an Intel Atom Z670 processor with mSATA SSM technology to deliver faster boot times, improved battery life of up to six hours and increased performance for business customers.

Starting at $699, the new HP Slate 2 PC is expected to go on sale globally later this month.
